How do you explain?

How do you explain to a seriously upset wife that her ingrown toenail surgery, though certainly gruesome sounding, is not the life and death situation that she makes it out to be? Seriously?

Please tell me this is not the same woman with the grass clippings and trash?! (otherwise, I think this might fall in the do-not-try-this-at-home category, and you'll need the services of a professional, accustomed to dealing with narcissistic sociopaths).
