My favorite Christmas song.



I've added it to my iPod's Christmas play list. (And actually, this rendition by Robert Downey, Jr. is one of my favorite covers EVAH. I remember seeing it on Ally McBeal -- yes, I'm that old! -- and just tearing up. He's got a great voice).

I'll be damned. I was very skeptical, given how protective I am of "Blue," which is one of my favorite albums. But he really nails it.

Wow, I guess I am REALLY old. I have only ever heard the original version, by Joni Mitchell.

This song was nearly my undoing one holiday season in the early 90's, during a difficult breakup, at Christmas. Wow. I don't think this song will ever make me think of anything else.

Joni's been there, man. That's why I love her. Great song.

I absolutely love that song. Very sad though. I actually bought the Ally McBeal Christmas album just for "River".
