OMG! It was all I could do not to bawl! The fact that I think John Cusack is amazing didn't hurt either. But I can't help wondering why the spouse left behind is a man? Still, it looks like a real tear0jerker. I might have to wait for it to be available on Netflix so I can stop it when I need to.
A friend told me about the NYT interview with Cusack and the director last winter, with the disclaimer that I probably didn't want to see the movie, and might not want to even read the article.
And he was right, but I kinda think I need to anyway.
When a soldier is packing up for a mission, he is often instructed to leave all non-essential equipment behind. This includes a soldier's family.
Who am I? I'm a military wife, FRG leader, mother, writer and all around misfit.

I wouldn't give you odds on that one. I didn't make it through, either. . . .
Yup - crying now.
I don't know how people deal with this. I really don't.
At least you had an appropriate tissue warning. Heavy stuff. I doubt it could watched with anything less than a full box of tissues.

It looks like a good movie...but there is no way that I am going to go see it...No. Way.

Oh boy. I should've scrolled down before I played the video. Tears here, definitely.
damnation. Don't think I'll be watching that one for a couple of years... but I probably will in 2009.
