Can you hear me?

The boy can hear. He handled the test like a pro and has hearing well within the range of normal. Apparently, when we think he is not hearing us, he's just choosing not to do so. Oh yeah. My kid, right there.

And so, back to the Developmental Nazis for another evaluation.

Hubs was afraid #2 might be autistic (but then he finds stuff to worry about for no good reason), but I pointed out that she was just ignoring us. She heard and understood perfectly fine when it was something she WANTED to hear.

Interesting. I wonder what's going on. He must be brilliant like his mother. ;-)

MW: I think that is the case with Munchkin. He's just already learned that we are boring and not worth his energy unless there's a pay-off. =)

But I have no idea what is going on. The audiologist did say that it might be that if he was hard of hearing before his adenoid surgery, that it may just be taking him a little longer to make sense of all the sounds in the world now that he can hear.

I think all children are guilty of and iagnosed with selective hearing. I look forward to the updates!
