Okay, so I'm loving Mandy Moore's cover of "Umbrella." But honestly, I think she could sing anything and I'd be swaying and holding up a lighter. She is just so damn likable.

wow. . .
I see what you mean!
What I liked best was how she just quietly went about singing a WAY-cool song - giving it all kinds of deep shades of meaning - while in the background there's this coiffed chick going through all kinds of gyrations and sexual posturings and looking COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS.
Sometimes less is definitely more.
Here's showing my ignorance but I don't know Mandy Moore from the short-haired bimbo I assume she was 'covering'. . . . .
When a soldier is packing up for a mission, he is often instructed to leave all non-essential equipment behind. This includes a soldier's family.
Who am I? I'm a military wife, FRG leader, mother, writer and all around misfit.

For my money, though, I'm with you, N.E.Equip.
I agree that she's likable... it probably helps that she seems to have her head on straight, unlike some other celebrities...
I wasn't sure what song of the moment was "Umbrella," but I remember it now. It is a lovely version. Why haven't I listened to her more?
