Knowing is half the battle.

Deployment postponed.
I'm mostly happy about it. But I swear, it wasn't even two minutes after I emailed the news out to our family that my mother-in-law wrote back and said, "With the pullback, maybe he won't even have to go!"
Uhhh, no, Mom. Sorry. Doesn't work that way.

I think we all have those. It makes you not want to tell them anything, doesn't it?

I get tired of hearing stuff like this. I swear sometimes people just want to get my hopes up, when I know the reality of the situation. And I can seem to get them to understand that. Humphf!

But I understand having mixed emotions about the postponement. I really do.

Now that you brought this up again, I might have to go back and finally complete this thought. :)

Y'all, I am both comforted and appalled that more mother-in-laws do this.

Loquita, finish the thought. With wine, preferably. You'll feel better.
